ABOUT BINGS
Bings is a sound designer, composer, and arranger based in Singapore and Taiwan, with extensive experience in the realm of video games.
Among his accolades are regional titles such as "Simulacra" by Kaigan Games, which clinched the International Mobile Game Awards SEA 2017, "Cuisineer" by BattleBrew Productions, honored with the TechRaptor Awards-Best of PAX East 2023, and the globally acclaimed taiwanese horror game "Devotion" by Red Candle Games. All of which Bings worked on while working as Lead Sound Designer & Composer at Imba Interactive.
His versatility and innovative approach are evident in compositions that span from spine-chilling atmospheric soundscapes to exhilarating ethnic action scores. Whether crafting for the traditional 2D format or pioneering experimental binaural experiences, Bings prioritizes audience immersion as the cornerstone of his artistic ethos.
In addition to his contributions to the video game industry, Bings has collaborated with renowned brands such as Panasonic, Bolon Eyewear, and Dr’s Secret, crafting captivating and uplifting music and sounds to enhance their commercials.
As a songwriter, Bings has composed competition-winning pieces, such as "兒戲" — later chosen by singer Jocie 郭美美 as the opening track of her album "起風了“. Additionally, his side project, the Mandarin electronic band 而樂ELE, made waves in the Singaporean MediaCorp Drama "別來無恙" with its theme song "你不再在乎了" and the closing track "複製".
Harnessing on his performance background, he has also channeled his talents into theatre and live installation works, exploring various mediums such as multi-speaker installations, audio walks, and live foley/instrumental performances at esteemed festivals around Singapore, including SIFA, the Singapore Writer’s Festival, and Esplanade’s Baybeats Festival.
